Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and ABC AGENCY LIMITED (Company Registration No. 80372891, Hong Kong), which operates the SoldSite website and services at https://soldsite.com.

1. Who we are

SoldSite is operated by ABC AGENCY LIMITED, Company Registration No. 80372891, registered at Unit 2904-05, 29/F, Universal Trade Centre, 3 Arbuthnot Road, Hong Kong.

You can contact us at any time at support@soldsite.com.

2. Acceptance of these Terms

By creating an account, purchasing credits or otherwise using SoldSite, you confirm that you have read and accept these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. If you use SoldSite on behalf of a company or other organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these Terms on its behalf.

3. Eligibility and age

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding contract to use SoldSite. The service is intended for domain name investors and other business users, and is not directed at children.

4. Accounts and email verification

An account is required to generate appraisals. You must provide a valid email address and accurate registration information, and keep that information up to date. Accounts created with disposable or temporary email addresses may be refused.

You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity that takes place under your account. Please contact us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your authorisation.

We ask you to verify your email address. Certain features, including the free promotional credit, are only made available after verification.

5. Credits

SoldSite operates on credits. A credit allows you to generate one domain appraisal in accordance with the product rules in effect at the time of use. Credit package sizes and prices are shown on our credits page and may change for future purchases.

A credit is deducted only when an appraisal completes successfully. If an appraisal fails, or if we decline to appraise a domain because it falls within a restricted category, no credit is deducted for that request.

Promotional and free credits have no cash value, cannot be sold, transferred or exchanged, are not refundable, and may be subject to eligibility conditions and anti-abuse measures. We may withhold or withdraw promotional credits where we reasonably believe they are being obtained or used abusively, for example through multiple or automated account creation.

Purchased credits are subject to our Refund Policy. Credits are for use within your own account and may not be resold or transferred to another person.

6. Payments

Credit purchases are one-time payments processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card number or security code; that information is handled by Stripe under its own terms and privacy policy. We retain transaction identifiers and related metadata needed to allocate credits and to handle refunds, disputes, accounting and fraud prevention.

Prices are shown in US dollars unless stated otherwise. You are responsible for any taxes, bank charges or currency conversion costs applied by your payment provider. Credits are added to your account once we receive confirmation of a successful payment.

7. Refunds

Our voluntary refund terms are set out in the Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms. In short, a credit purchase may be refunded on request within 14 days of purchase only if none of the credits from that specific purchase have been used. Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory consumer rights that apply to you under applicable law.

8. Payment disputes and chargebacks

If you believe a charge is incorrect, please contact us first at support@soldsite.com so we can review it. Contacting us is usually faster than a bank dispute, but nothing here prevents you from exercising legitimate chargeback rights with your card issuer or payment provider.

While a payment is under dispute, unused credits associated with that purchase may be temporarily unavailable. If the dispute is resolved in our favour, eligible credits may become available again. If the dispute results in the payment being reversed, the associated unused credits may be permanently removed. Appraisals already generated are not reversed.

9. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the service for any unlawful, fraudulent or infringing purpose;
  • scrape, bulk-extract, resell or redistribute appraisal output as a competing or derivative service;
  • attempt to reverse engineer, probe or interfere with the service, its models or its security measures;
  • circumvent credit requirements, rate limits, verification steps or anti-abuse controls, including by creating multiple accounts to obtain additional free credits;
  • share your account credentials or allow others to use your account;
  • submit content that is unlawful, or use the service to facilitate infringement of third-party trademarks or other rights.

We apply usage limits to protect service stability, and may adjust them where reasonably necessary.

10. Restricted domain categories

We may decline to appraise certain domain names or categories of domain names. The current restrictions include certain adult and alcohol-related domains, and we may restrict additional categories where we consider it reasonably necessary for legal, safety, service-provider policy or business reasons.

Where a request is declined for this reason, no credit is deducted. We do not publish the details of how restricted content is identified.

11. Appraisals are informational only

SoldSite produces estimates and analysis using algorithms, automated systems, third-party data and models, and AI-assisted analysis. Outputs are informational only.

We do not provide financial, investment, legal, tax, brokerage or certified professional valuation advice. We do not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of any appraisal, that a buyer exists for a domain, that a domain will sell, the timing of any sale, or any price or return. You are solely responsible for your own research and for your buying, pricing, selling and investment decisions. Please read the Domain Appraisal Disclaimer, which forms part of these Terms.

12. Third-party services

The service relies on third parties, including payment processing, hosting and database infrastructure, and AI and domain valuation providers. Their availability, data and policies are outside our control, and interruptions or changes on their side may affect the service. Details of the providers we use and the data shared with them are set out in our Privacy Policy.

13. Intellectual property

We and our licensors retain all rights in the SoldSite platform, including its software, models, methodology, report structure, text, design and branding. These Terms do not transfer any of those rights to you.

You may use appraisal output for your own domain investment, portfolio and sales activity, including sharing an individual report with a prospective buyer or adviser. You may not use our name or branding to imply endorsement or certification of a valuation.

14. Service availability and changes

We aim to keep the service available, but we do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation. Access may be limited by maintenance, technical issues, rate limits or third-party outages. We may add, change or discontinue features, and may change the content, structure or methodology of appraisals, at any time.

15. Affiliate program

We operate an optional affiliate program. Participation is voluntary, requires an approved application, and is governed by the Affiliate Program Terms, which form part of these Terms for participating affiliates. Those terms set out commission, attribution, hold periods, payout thresholds and prohibited promotion methods. Nothing in the affiliate program creates an employment, agency or partnership relationship, and affiliates may not make claims about SoldSite beyond what we publish.

16. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the service at any time. If you would like your account closed, contact us at support@soldsite.com.

We may suspend or terminate access where we reasonably believe these Terms have been breached, where required by law, or where necessary to protect the service, other users or our providers. Where practicable we will give notice. Unused credits associated with an account terminated for breach may be forfeited, without prejudice to any mandatory rights you may have.

17. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, the service and all appraisal output are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or accuracy.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for lost profits, lost or missed sales, loss of opportunity, loss of data, or indirect, incidental or consequential loss, and our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the service is limited to the amounts you paid to us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for fraud, or any mandatory consumer rights you have under applicable law.

18. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against reasonable losses, damages and costs arising from your unlawful use of the service, your breach of these Terms, or your infringement of third-party rights, except to the extent the loss results from our own act or omission.

19. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the service, our providers or legal requirements. The current version is always available on this page with its update date. Where changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify you, for example by email or an in-product notice. Continuing to use the service after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

20. Governing law

These Terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the laws of Hong Kong, and the courts of Hong Kong have jurisdiction. Nothing in this section removes any mandatory consumer protection rights, or the right to bring proceedings in the courts of your place of residence, where applicable law gives you those rights.

21. Contact

Questions about these Terms, your account, billing or refunds can be sent to support@soldsite.com.
