Domain Appraisal Disclaimer
Every figure, score, probability and recommendation produced by SoldSite is an estimate. This page explains what our appraisal outputs are, how they are produced, and the limits you should keep in mind before making any decision.
1. Appraisals are estimates
SoldSite produces an estimated view of what a domain name might be worth and how it might sell. Estimates are not measurements. Two informed parties can reasonably value the same domain very differently, and the price a domain actually achieves may be materially higher or lower than anything shown in a report.
2. Outputs covered by this disclaimer
This disclaimer applies to all appraisal output, including where present in a report:
- wholesale valuation
- fast-sale valuation
- patient / end-user valuation
- top-buyer valuation
- recommended listing price
- overall or quality score
- liquidity assessment
- 1-year sale probability
- 3-year sale probability
- potential buyers and buyer profiles
- business use cases
- strengths
- weaknesses
- risks
- holding strategy
- final recommendation or verdict
3. How the outputs are produced
Reports are generated automatically. They may combine algorithmic pricing logic, statistical models, third-party data and valuation models, and AI-assisted analysis and text generation. Automated systems can be incomplete, out of date or simply wrong, and AI-generated commentary can contain errors. Methodology, data sources and results may change over time, so the same domain may produce different output on different dates.
4. What appraisals are not
Appraisal output is not:
- a certified, professional or independently verified valuation;
- a guarantee of market value;
- a guarantee that a buyer exists or will be found;
- a guarantee that a domain will sell;
- a guarantee about when a sale will happen;
- a guarantee of future profitability or return;
- an offer to buy or sell a domain;
- investment, financial, legal, tax or brokerage advice.
Probabilities and scores describe modelled likelihood and relative quality. They are not predictions of what will happen to your specific domain.
5. Why actual value can differ
Real-world outcomes are driven by factors that no automated appraisal fully captures, including:
- buyer demand and how many buyers are actively looking;
- negotiation, timing and the sales channel used;
- overall market conditions and comparable sales;
- trademarks and other third-party legal rights;
- search, traffic and backlink characteristics;
- existing or intended commercial use of the name;
- the specific circumstances and budget of an individual buyer;
- other factors not visible to or modelled by SoldSite.
6. Legal and trademark considerations
Any comments about legal or trademark risk are general observations produced by automated analysis, not a legal clearance or trademark search. A domain may still infringe third-party rights even where no risk is flagged. Seek qualified legal advice where rights may be involved.
7. Your due diligence
You are solely responsible for your own research and decisions when buying, selling, pricing, holding or investing in domain names. Use our reports as one input among others, alongside your own review of comparable sales, market data and, where appropriate, professional advice. Domain investing involves risk, including the risk of losing the money you invest.
8. No warranty of accuracy
SoldSite does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, timeliness or future validity of appraisal output. Our liability in connection with the service is addressed in our Terms of Service, and nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or any mandatory rights you have under applicable law.
